We had my side of the family reunion in Bear Lake, UT (and ID) in July. My mom and dad do all they can to have our family get together at least once a year and our entire family is extremely grateful for this. Our kids are so close to each other and I KNOW these reunions are the reason why. Each family is spread out (MN, UT, MD, IL, and China), but it is such an important thing for my parents that we all stay as close as we are now. And, the reunions are the BEST! My parents do a great job and coordinating EVERYTHING and the days just seem to fly by when we are all together. Every single one of us looks forward to these reunions (I don't think anyone of us has missed any of them for as long as I can remember.) In 2008, my siblings and I decided to do a surprise 40th wedding anniversary party for my parents. So, all during the previous year, we had to keep my dad at bay when he kept asking us when we could all get together. We were so determined to make this work, and we pulled it off! It was AWESOME! Anyway, I digress. My parents rented a cabin home that had enough bedrooms and bathrooms for every single one of us, along with a fully equipped kitchen. We all loved being in one house together and the cousins had so much fun playing together. It was a really fun 4 days and we can't wait until the next one. It's always sad to say goodbye :( Sorry for all the pictures, but this was an incredible place for a reunion!
After the Bear Lake reunion, we spent a few days with John's mom, dad, Shaun, and Baby V, and we even got to meet Baby Rogan before we left! We also met up with some friends that we haven't been really good at staying in touch with, but it was like we saw each other yesterday. It was an awesome 8 days!
